i was actually shopping today, but at Coles, which will take the same approach as Woolies anyway.
i was trying to picture what the checkouts would look like without the convenience of plastic bags to quickly pack away groceries.
look-it takes at least twice as much time to pack one of those recyclable greenie bags, compared to a plastic bag.
all that Coles and Wollies will end up with is longer cue times, so they will have to hire more staff and open more checkouts .
what a pair of wombats Banducci and Goyder actually seem to be. this will cost shareholders millions upon millions and they won't get it back from shoppers buying their bin liners.
ps-you just wonder if our lefty government has 'asked' them to comply with their own form of lunacy or else.
