No, I disagree with the idea that there should be any 'isms. There is no utopia only our one fragile planet/ecosystem and our political system should be constantly subject to criticism and democratic reform.
Like Plato I see that neccessity is the mother of our invention to me money is a wonderful means of forcing us to make do with less.
It's important to remain poor and hungry as Ursula Le Guin put it dispossessed. Not owning and not owned.
I disagree with Plato's use for the phrase to justify his republic, like Wilhelm von Humboldt I think the sole purpose of government should be to organise militia - in defense of democracy from invasion. Social welfare, education and our modern beuracracy are not good for people because self reliance is key. At least not a proper function of goverment.
Like Kropotkin and later Bookchin I think we work too hard and everyone could receive the necessities of basic healthy food and housing with much more leisure time or time for thinking new and original thoughts.
I am on the side that freedom is the primary problem not poverty as Bertrand Russell put it, I think that the ghost of anarcho-syndicalism is a negative one though.
Like Foucault I would say the primary political task is instead to remove the mask which covers the face of our seemingly benign institutions.
Like Adam Smith I don't think business and politics should mix, skin in the game is important. The corporation is a gigantic government sponsored abomination that should have been stillborn.
Left and right wing are artificial and irrelevant constructs the only choice is totalitarianism and democracy. The correct or the wrong position.
It's not rocket science politics is relatively simple, like investing it's just that everyone else hasn't read the arguments of both sides and thought it through all the way down to first principles.
If they did they would realise that the mainstream consensus is operating from such a deeply flawed decision making framework that it's like taking candy from a baby.
