Yes and why haven't they done it to date.? Most of the bikes are not electric assist?
All those providers are in need of reliable quality parts to offer a option of a electric assist especially in citys with more hills and also as a commute option to allow longer distance travel but it requires charging hubs / docks .


VMT could partner with a provider and offer some form of lease to commuters with a go get style system for commuters further out with current bikes?

They just never seem to get traction in current market and not sure what the trigger will be .
