Sure. But why bother doing all this, if all you have to do is be fair and equitable to everyone on a x for 1 share basis and raise via a RR issue that is exclusive to existing shareholders? Why the need to offer discount shares at all to any outside "investors"? Have they taken any of the previous risk? (no). So why the need to reward them? If they are interested in the company, why not get them to purchase on market thereby putting upward price pressure after the issue? No other clever maths needed, or "we know whats best for you or them" insto vs retail vs "insto clients of x broker" vs r"etail clients of y broker".. etc etc..needed.. just let the exisiting shareholders decide what to do. Why try to massage things because you (the BOD) "think they know best" for this or that investor?? Why not simply let them decide?
