Thousands of customers of the electricity retailer, Energy One, have been told they will not be left without power, despite the company being suspended today. Energy One has written to the national electricity grid manager, National Electricity Market Management Company Limited (NEMMCO), to say it is unable to keep operating.
NEMMCO says alternative retailers have been appointed to supply electricity to the company's customers.
