Quirkus, concerning "the rise of the bots" here you raise valid points with HOW to spot it -- too many posters elsewhere seem to hear the word "bot" and then apply it everywhere when their stock is going down.

What I like to "theorize" over is the bots' masters and their motivations. Obviously every single player on every single bourse is motivated by, 1) Profit, and 2) NOT losing capital. Some bots will be instos trying to get the best price, including active shorting; they're long. Other bots may be acting for a real producer in a t/o strategy, again using shorts to get the lowest sp, and; again they're long.

Yes, it will be interesting.

Does that look like tax loss selling is OVER?
Does that look like investors, etc. are taking positions prior to Au's traditional season of strength?

PS I've recently heard (from Holmes??) that Au's seasonal strength begins with Ramadan, and not mid to late July...
