Great Presentation. Very thorough and a very good summary of where Hexagon is currently at and the next steps being taken.
Also the comment on the team aggressively marketing the product down multiple paths is very good.
The comments on revisiting the grinding to preserve the flake is very important and will add a lot to the sale value of the product.
But reading the forum...
When I hear comments about being the higher OPEX etc in town it really annoys me..
a) I heard OPEX numbers in SYR which I am sure will turn out a dream in production. I remember when the Graphite was going to be a free credit on the Vanadium. Just go back a couple of years to some of their announcements and some of their estimates.. Their Capex almost doubled.. I have no doubt they will make it but it even shows the biggest player in the market got its numbers wrong first time around.
b) I know companies in this space that put their PFS's together in weeks. Hexagon took 6 months, with checks, external independent parties reviews etc..I believe it is conservative and solid... I also feel a number of companies are using the word Pre. to allow them to significantly underestimate what it takes in order to get the next Capital Raise away and survive... And with Hexagon, they already mention there is significant room for improvement on both the Capex and Opex they have identified.
c) Any of us that have been around the mining sector for a few decades know how rarely PFS / DFS studies translate to real operational numbers. One thing Mike is, is conservative. He has been through this before and learnt a lot. An excellent MD for the Commercialisation stage. He put out the PFS number and already had a heap of ideas on optimization. Lets see some of the other players do their DFS and get funding. Also then lets compare that to their PFS numbers.....
The big problem we have in the Graphite sector is too many companies, I believe, are tell half truths to the market and because the whole sector is very in-transparent there are few parties that can verify it.. I know projects that will never work, yet they are plugging that they will.
I think the patient people among HXG shareholders will be rewarded but the whole battery story was never a short term play.
Do you own research.. Not investment advice.
