"Terbium prices have been firming up in China over the past week on positive market outlook. Prices in a range of RMB3,550-3,580/kg($519-523/kg) are being accepted by motivated buyers, up from about RMB3,500/kg($511/kg) last week.

On the contrary, some weakness has been seen in dysprosium prices this week. Influenced by the persistently flat demand, 99% dysprosium oxide prices have moved down to about RMB1,180-1,190/kg($172-174/kg), down from about RMB1,200-1,210/kg($175-177/kg) in the past few weeks."

Divergence now quite profound, strongly suggesting Tb is displacing Dy in the higher grade mags where it is 2x effective, and Dy being reduced/eliminated/displaced by Holmium in the lower grades.

Prices falling below 1200, @ production rate reportedly 40% capacity, indicates supply still excessive to demand although no Dy or Tb were taken up in yesterday's stockpile purchase.

    Maybe SRB has enough already?

Been calling Dy's demise here for years, should hardly come as any surprise.
