CW do work on much lower overheads then normal pharmacies , and are therefore able to pass on these saving to customers. In the past CW has modeled itself with 20% GP , while most other pharmacies were operating on low 30%. To do this CW operated in lower rental areas, never large shopping centres , lower staff costs and generally had slightly better trading terms from suppliers. I am sure that other CSO wholesalers will relish the chance to supply CW , as one is already keen to supply stock as per today's announcement.
