found this ... need to remember gold was say $400 oz back then and copper under a $1pound
this could be really interesting if they can get this to development ..
The gold at Grand Bois is concentrated within a gossan or oxidized zone
which starts at surface and extends to a total depth of 45.5 meters, with an
average thickness of 20.5 meters. The mineralized zone is tabular and roughly
circular measuring 300 meters X 350 meters. The geometry of the orebody is
ideal for open pit mining and the state of oxidation makes the ore amenable to
inexpensive heap leaching to extinct the gold and silver from the ore.
Metallurgical tests conducted in the past on large samples crushed to
-3/4 inch, gave recoveries reaching up to 91.9% for gold and 48.7% for silver. Hole KGB-16 was drilled to test the eastern extension of the Grand Bois
deposit and returned a very thick oxidized interval of 45.5 meters grading
1.0 gram per ton gold, suggesting it is possible to increase the reserves. Most of the KWG holes are deeper than the U.N. holes, and many intersected significant copper values. The best mineralized interval is 1.08%
copper over 36.0 meters, whereas the thickest interval is 63.3 meters grading
0.47% copper. Many of the holes were terminated in the copper zone and the drill density is insufficient to calculate reserves at his stage. Results, however, strongly suggest the possibility of developing a copper resource below the gold zone.
