I actually see significant upside in Coeur.
The issue for me is whether this upside is larger than the upside in BSG merging with PJO and then getting on with the job - bringing Palmajero etc. into production, paying dividends and finding more silver and gold.
As for Coeur .. I believe the multi million ounces Alaskan gold mine will come into production and be very profitable. The issue at present is with the location of the tailings dam. I believe there is a solution to this .. there was a higher cost option back about 10 years ago which should certainly be economic now in a rising gold price environment.
As for Bolivia ... I believe the political risk has been exaggerated out of all proportion. I have little doubt that the silver mine will come into production, be very profitable and also be free of major political interference.
The market appears to have discounted both these mines on just about a worst case scenario.
So yes ... there is huge upside in Coeur.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the Coeur share price really take off in coming months.
