This is where I had previously read that bornite is also in the supergene zone, as is chalcocite.

    https://australianmuseum.net.au/geological-ore-deposits

    This part in particular.

Immediately below the oxidised zone is sometimes a zone known as the supergene zone where metals are deposited by fluids percolating downwards from the oxidised zone and concentrating in a narrow band just below the water table. The supergene zone is the richest part of an ore deposit but in many instances, is either only very thin or not developed at all. The most common minerals found in supergene zones are:
    • Copper: chalcocite, bornite
So, that's where this bornite might be, although that fact can't be ascertained from the report which says:

    # visible, extensive, fresh copper sulphides (bornite and chalcopyrite).

    # an extensive (165m wide) zone of disseminated bornite with +/-chalcopyrite (<1% visual estimated volume).

The left side pic says 'disseminated ... bornite... between 191.8ms and 192.5ms within a late stage hydrothermal quartz vein' and the right side pic says 'disseminated chalcopyrite ...with bornite mineralisation within mafic volcanics.... between 174.8ms and 176ms.' These are the pics:

The hole was finished earlier than expected and reached a depth of 422.9ms.

Disseminated = When a deposit consists almost entirely of sulphides, it is termed "massive sulphide". When it consists of clots or patches of sulphides in the country rocks, it is termed "disseminated". The proportion of sulphide minerals, and therefore the metal grades, are generally higher in the former.

The assays will tell the story, but there will be about a month's wait.
