that said- the so called "lost" foot traffic must be going to alternative shopping venues and all we have to choose from is Aldi and IGA as the likely culprits.

IGA /MTS are a spent force according to you, but Aldi does not disclose sales results.

so that means that Aldi is the quiet achiever and may eventually be even a bigger threat to the totally automated Godzilla of online retail- Amazon.
