morningstars latest report requires a lot of things to go right for it achieve that 5.30$ target by 2019. How do they plan to achieve this? Laying off more staff?? If you want exposure to oil/gas. what benefits does santos offer over its competitors other then its cheap? Wpl and bpt have far better balance sheets, there focas atm is growth not survival. Oil search has a extremely low cost of production. theres 3 options, they all have proven management. Santos may have a decent ceo now but hes inherited a basketcase. government like productivity from a operation point of view.
Its far better to buy a wonderful company at a fair price, then a fair company at a wonderful price!
