mmm... brokers like it I know, it has the highest consensus score in the top 100 market caps. Unfortunately broker consensus just isn't always right, and can some times be horribly wrong. The current case in point is Telstra, which brokers have all had as a Sell but are starting to support after it has run up strongly (see TLS thread), but way too late in my opinion.
If your friend is on the trading desk then you might have more confidence in his tip.
Main thing is to keep an eye on both the Australian and US chart of NWS.
