They don't have a great record with fatalities in this mine over recent years - any death is very regrettable in any workplace but underground mining is one of the most hazardous of all occupations. They have tried to explain the circumstances so that we understand it wasn't caused by mine collapse or impact with equipment but still unclear what actually went wrong. They don't say that a platform collapsed but was the worker correctly wearing gear that was attached to the platform as it sounds like he simply fell off.
