Maybe your right..... or wrong, as you say it depends on the size of the contracts but many of those buying the rumour are buying on a rumour of contracts worth 10's of millions putting the sp more than double from its current level and not just on the rumour of news coming.
I understand your thought process but I have been caught out before selling rumour only to find out news is way way better than expected causing the sp to run much harder over the ensuing days.
Also with even more news after the one soon to be announced makes the process of choosing if and when to sell so much harder especially if those who have been throwing $4,6 & $10 around are right.
