I don't believe they will hike the rates (due to all the BS last year with will we/won't we, and we only saw 1), and see it as a mistake if they do. If the Fed puts rates up, our dollar will fall, which is still good for our gold companies. There will also be the chance that our banks will lift rates to help meet overseas borrowing costs, which will cause property prices to flatten or fall, and potentially start a recession, which might mean our government will have to lower interest rates, which will cause our dollar to fall further.
