Small nit pick but stainless steel can absolutely corrode in the right conditions or if handled incorrectly (for example when shoddily welded which can damage the passivation layer). I'm also surprised they opted for stainless steel for this task when simple cathodic protection of a conventional material would have been far cheaper, easier to maintain and, through replacement of sacrificial annodes, longer lasting.
