Yes, the most convinient and effective way of counter drone invasion would be the passive radar detection+counter effect kind of what they currently are developing.
The single carry drone gun has its market too, not every agency will be able to afford or install the constant anti-drone radar.
Each product has its use and market.
They are on the right track so far.
