You say about Noble Energy Pty Ltd.: "It is a company in its own right with TAS as a major shareholder."
That downplays the fact that (here I agree) it is registered as a 'private company', but it is wholly and solely owned 100% by a 'public' company (TAS). To me that makes the 'private' part you emphasize; as of no consequence at all!
