I don’t want to comment the entire article, I just want to inform, that the table of ProGraphite which you used was made mid-2015 and in the meantime it is outdated. ProGraphite is in ongoing discussions with battery companies, anode material producers, car makers etc. and we monitor the development of the LIB market closely. We are convinced that due to different reasons the development of EV in general became much more dynamic already now than we anticipated.
Based on the new data, we updated our calculations and we believe the demand for natural spherical graphite for Lithium-Ion batteries will be above 200,000 tons in 2025. Considering a realistic yield of 50% during spheronization this translates into a demand of natural flake graphite due to production of LIB of > 400,000 tons in year 2025.
