I can put the open on the chart, and do look at it sometimes, usually to confirm previous strength or weakness, but not very often.
The open is of little value to me because no serious amount of volume has traded yet, and is vulnerable to manipulation for a cheap price (often to trip up short term and momentum traders). I am mostly interested on what actually happened when a certain (decent) amount of volume has traded, particularly on the smaller mid caps, and larger small caps (as I am not nimble enough to trade the small and micro caps very well over a reasonable period of time).
