    Okay ... slightly more complex if you don't mind?

    i) How are share buy-backs treated by ATO for investors & traders?

    I suppose normal dividends are treated the same way for both investor & trader under the imputation.

    ii) How close to the dividend declaration can you trade without the dividend being looked at as askance?
