It is my understanding that, like other drone countermeasure systems, the DRO DroneGun product currently is limited by requiring human operation with line-of-sight to a single target (i.e. daylight with no objects in the way and visual distance limits). In contrast, the D13 MESMER system is designed so that it can be operated in a continuous automatic mode, does not require line-of-sight, can mitigate multiple targets simultaneously, and can be powered up to increase distance capabilities. Unlike most other systems MESMER function also is independent of drone size, and by taking full control of the target(s) is able to both remove the threat to a safe location and determine the position of the drone operator.
The DRO and D13 systems will become far more comparable when DRO develops its intended DroneSentry system, and the products of both companies then would be very powerful if operated in combination. Both companies very much are in the right space at the right time, and I believe both is likely to show equal rapid growth.
All IMO.
