As far as not expecting me - I think the "changing the dates" game was more about discouraging me than not expecting me. I spoke with Sophie before the AGM (incidentally, she seems to be a very nice person) and she was surprised to see me and she appeared very uncomfortable that I had shown up. After the AGM, she apologized again and said she looked forward to making things better at this year's AGM and to keep emailing her if I needed any further information throughout the year. Yes, I don't think Sophie's departure was a resignation - although that was what the announcement stated.
