Hahah @gassed you crack me up. Wait, why the hell do they need to acquire anything when they are trying to drill out their existing field and get more oil flowing (lol gas) and get CASH FLOW POSITIVE? I'll tell you the answer: they are running out of dough and they know they won't make it so they need more cash (again) SO.....to sweeten it for the noob punters they add some land or whatever trinket they can find as a "material acquisition" (probably from a mate who they are helping through a distressed sale) to justify the cash grab.
This management team keep on giving "us guys" the material @gassed. We're not making it up. They're doing it for us!
