he's not spoofing, he's genuinely selling shares... if you look back at the ceasing to be a substantial holder notice from 10th of November, you can see the KGL (kerry group limited) group were selling on the 7th and 8th... on those two days alone, they got rid of around 7m shares by dumping the 500k sell orders straight onto the market... the selling pattern continued after those days, up until the 14th, although we havent received another notice, so we can assume its probably the same seller as he no longer needs to update the market since ceasing to be a substantial holder...

so, i would guess he sold around 20m shares from the 7th to the 14th... didnt see any crazy 500k sell orders after the 14th, so figured maybe he was done selling, but he came back yesterday, which makes me think his exit strategy is price sensitive and he wants approx $3 for his shares... today was another huge volume day, over 20m shares traded, so maybe his total sales since the 7th could be as high as 40m?

so, if that hypothesis is correct, it looks like this seller could be completely out of their position pretty soon...

seems like a stupid way to sell: smash the market depth with a 500k order at 11:30 and just gradually move it down throughout the day, and when the order gets eaten up, just dump another 500k onto market a few pips lower...

then again, i guess ive never faced the arduous task of having to dispose of 50m shares on market...

maybe one day
