I remember reading somewhere that CO2 sequestration goes extremely well with coal bed methane extraction in that higher quantities of methane are desorbed from coal surfaces as CO2 attaches.

So for instance, CO2 generated from a gas fired power station could be collected and injected to the gas producing seam or seams or a coal bed methane field in Europe (where I think carbon credits can be traded) located near an aging coal fired power station could have an extended life by directing CO2 emmissions deep undeground to a gas producing seam or seams.

A bit off topic but nonetheless somewhat relevant I feel.
