share market is uncertain...no stock that guaranteed...
I disagree with you there.
Companies with durable business models, and that have leading positions in well-structured industries, resulting those companies having demonstrated ability to set the prices of their products and services, control to cost of their inputs; companies are well-managed, appropriately funded, and who have boards of directors that understand how to grow shareholder value and who invest prudently and judiciously for the future.... there is nothing uncertain about those sorts of stocks as investment opportunities, I have found.
"simple example VOC..traded almost $10 now around $4 ish...just because investors panicked"
I'm afraid I'm not sure of the relevance of VOC to this discussion, and I can't speak for why the stock is now $4 and not $10. Maybe it was simply overvalued at $10. Or maybe its fundamentally not a good business and operates within a poor industry structure where there is little pricing power or excess dependency on critical suppliers.
