On the banning of short selling, Harvey said this:
"I think short sellers should be banned - when someone sells your shares [short] they have a huge incentive to go out there and demolish the price. If you are here, please get up and p1ss off"

Gerry Harvey has named Bronte Capital's John Hempton as one of the primary parties 'guilty' of shorting HVN and spreading rumors... Based on reputation alone, I'm far, far more to believe the Hempton version of events.
