    G'day GH.

I am sure you would have seen the "City Beat" article in the "Courier mail" on Friday about Carbon Energy and Linc.

It says. "Carbon energy is now looking to license it's "keyseam" intellectual property with business partners in China following the mothballing of it's Bloodwood Creek pilot UCG site near Chinchilla."

It goes on to say that it is in the same area where now- defunct Linc Energy had it's "allegedly" polluting experiment in UCG.

At least the term "allegedly" is starting to be used in newspaper articles in relation to Linc rather than the previous presumption of guilt that was commonly used.

The telling part of this article however is the part where they state that Qld Chief Scientist Dr Geoff Garrett wrote to Carbon Energy and acknowledged that "successfully tested technologies like keyseam might well have a role in exploiting energy elsewhere.

Reading between the lines, and without putting words in the good Dr's mouth, it seems that he knew that the UCG companies were getting stitched up and felt somewhat guilty/sorry for them. For him to put his name to such an thing he must have felt very strongly about the issue.

It goes on to say they have raised money in China and here.

I think that Bondy, to his credit, seems like he is raising money to fight the Government on this. After all, if a business man loses his reputation he has little chance of coming back from the ALLEGATIONS of "having caused contamination on a massive scale".

    Lockitt
