Since there was no response to my last thread.
The only conclusion that I can come too, is that retirees and pensioners treat AGMs as s day outing.
Therefore small shareholders are happy to receive crumbs while the management team satisfy their hunger on bread.
Now it's time to get other changes to bear fruit. We need to get greater participation from smaller shareholders and break the stranglehold from the big-end of town.
Spoke to a share registry person who stated that only 10% of shareholders actually vote.
At my last attendance I asked Ziggy to display additional info, such as the number of individuals or entities that vote for and against the resolution; the numbers that didn't bother to vote etc.
This would give validity to the poll resolution result, if the majority of individuals and entities voted for the resolution in addition to the poll result.
This additional info may encourage more shareholders to take active part in voting - a great number of shareholders considered the voting as rigged for the big end of town.
