There is a very real misinterpretation here of the way in which communications were handled by AAD. I'd suggest simply going back and reviewing the videos (they are plentiful) and looking specifically at the statements made by DT and AAD during and just after the AGM. It's a better approach than simply making assertions on the basis of assumptions which are faulty.
Some of the DT quotes in the newspapers appear to be taken out of context and not reported fully, and then matched up with quotes from a different interview. It's easy to make assumptions, more difficult to go back and look objectively, in detail, at what was said and what transpired. The material is readily available.
