Hi Savvyinvestor,
Just saying gidday. It can be a very lonely place for posters out here. And I've never seen such a thread where the announcements outnumber the posts.
I've been part of GPR for well over a year and I'm down about 30% on my original investment. I've also lost cash on a few other gold exploration companies, I actually did well with one, and now I'm down to GPR as my last purely gold, speccy. Now while my track record for picking gold stocks in not outstanding, I reckon I've learnt a few important things.
1) Management: they must be proactive, experienced and have a good track record. This is still my perception of GPR's management team but I keep my eye on them just in case. I respect the tick of approval given by Goldbunny for a member of our management team - Goldbunny posted this sentiment here a few months ago; he usually posts on the SGQ thread.
2) Money: follow the money trail as they say. GPR's recent capitol raises must have reaped a fine harvest, we have a lot more shares on the market now. It's also encouraging to see such dedicated investors on our books.
I still believe that GPR have 3 "potentially" great assets. Any one of them could be a company maker. We should know a lot more about Woodlark in the next 2 months and I'll be watching closely for any announcement about Fiji. I don't know why but tenement 150 in Cambodia always sparked my interest. I guess the main point now is - GPR are all cashed up and have ground that's yearning for the drill bit.
I guess it's never possible to predict the future but I still believe the price of gold has more potential to go north than south. This could only be a good thing for GPR. As per announcements, Fiji has the potential of being cash-flow positive in a short period of time and depending on how much money is thrown at the island, Woodlark could happen in the near/medium term. And them there's the potential Motherlode deep within tenement 150.
On the downside we are now more diluted. Future capitol raises may not be so easy and I've a feeling that GPR needs to get at least one project up and running in the not too distant future.
These are only my views. It would like to read what others think too.
