ok, people are starting to take notice of the dwindling LME levels, we have been below 3000 tom LME for 5 days now and we are now seeing an appreciation of this with a spectacular price rise, $255 overnight, and just shy of $1000/ton over the past 8 days!

and I agree with you Hottin, why would tin miners ship and store it under the current pricing pressure, why not sell direct to users on forward, short (1-3 month) supply contracts - I don't think any producer would lock in long contracts at present, it's fast becoming a producer's rather than a user's market.

$21,000/ton but end of Oct would be suprising but not off the cards, especially now producers are starting to feel they can really push their prices at present.
