I am really struggling to see the appeal the proposed hotel spin off (minority interest) will have to investors. Seems like quite a bizarre call. The international spin off made more sense although a lot of those interests are pretty ordinary and left over from the buying spree before the GFC (e.g cannery stake). Does anyone see any value at all in this plan?
