well, 1) the market agreeing or disagreeing, in these circumstances, is largely irrelevant to the underlying commercial value of a move. 2) Food/Petrol/Convenience/Booze makes a very nice "core" business! The reason WOW went into petrol/convenience and booze, is because it cannot keep growing indefinetly its traditional supermarkets business at the rate it historically has.....meaning, it needs to find new arms for the business, that feel roughly familiar, but offer growth opportunities.
