    Definitely not.
I do short index's via CFD's and the platform permits shorting the larger shares easily with leverage, but it is not my calling. I don't trade CFD's or shares. I just use CFD's as share portfolio support in the significant downturns and growth accelerators in the major upturns.
Overall its a passive follow the trends up and down focused on growth - buy cheap sell dear for shares & CFD's and sell dear buy back cheap for CFD's alone. When I buy a share it is for growth that is just starting and will sell when the growth has plateaued, hoping to have another growth share on the ascendancy. If there is no growth share available I'll buy a good LIC with dividends and growth until a prospect materializes.

My overview was a personal appraisal of future growth prospects to a share portfolio. TFC is a prospect only. Considering comments in this thread, I decided to share.
I wish no harm and have no ulterior motive. I try to be unemotional and objective
