Hi sierra,Trust me that brush in the ebay item will last several lifetimes.And yes i only needed 4 rods.Maybe i could have ask the seller for less rods and got item cheaper??But i'm sure ill find a use for the extra rods anyway.I also noted that a crapload more heat was coming off the flue inside the house.So heating the house more efficiently for less wood
