Yes absolutely correct. "pref" shares have priority to any residually owners equity left on the Balance sheet (or it's new name "Statement of Financial Position" over and above the ordinary VRL shares.)

In this case to the value of 50c per VRL first, then 50c per VRL and then shared above that.

Voting rights are useless due to the Kirby control, VRLPA have the effective same (or better in a wind up) economic interest as VRL to the small shareholder.
