[Dow Jones]One of API's (API.AU) largest shareholders Investec Wentworth Private Equity says it held talks with suitor Sigma (SIP.AU) on its revised offer but is yet to make a decision. "There's some articles floating around that we've already given on option on this, which is ridiculous," IWPE MD and API director John Murphy says. "We're just considering it, there's no way the major shareholders have consented to a sale," he adds. Murphy declined to comment on whether API had received interest from any other parties. API's other major holder Washington H. Soul Pattinson (SOL.AU) was unavailable for comment. API last trade down 2 cents at A$2.60 vs Sigma's A$2.50/share offer. (SVM)
