Fair enough. Looking at the 1 year chart this is looking like it is starting to bottom out... very generalised.. and I am still with no spare cash or intention to buy in just yet, but I think the time is nearing. There still apperas to be plenty of time to wait for it to keep basing or confirm a reversal upwards.
Looking at the 3 year chart I'm gobsmacked I was blinded by emotion (when I bought back at the 1.40 pre peak) to not sell out on the downtrend. IT is the most obvious, consistently shaped downtrend from the peak that I can recall from my immediate charts. Well too late now.. but I am also getting anxious as this is looking like it is about to run its course soon. Given markets should run ahead of economic reality, anticipating the apartments oversupply over the next few years I would say we would be close to shedding off as much of the share price as possible. Bar their project sales and settlements falling off a cliff form historical benchmarks one would certainly expect that the EPS will on average continue to exceed 10-14c per share easily... especially with the big projects which will be the big test - if these majority sell and settle then they will be in for a big smack of money.
Still disappointed I didn't just take a 20 cent haircut and get out at the $1.20-1.30 range, by god the chart looks so perfectly obvious in shouting out the downtrend... ahh hindsight is always great. Def won't miss this uptrend I'm hoping, and I think the company seems to be running well. Is it the best apartment developer, no clue. But it certainly has been doing well since inception, with alot of skin in the game I think knowing what price is a steal and what to expect, so that we can pounce at the best price in the coming future will make us alot more wealthy in years to come.
I'm dreaming of the days when DPS restores to 10c, maybe even rises, and we got the shares for half the price at $0.90 (assuming it returns to its high of $1.80 sometime in the future when the inevitable business cycle ticks up again. Will it be in 2 years, 5? maybe 10? Not sure....
