Thats true it could be a stuff up from the crew, but from a PR point of view it would be tough to award it to them now. I also remember a while back they were dinged for quality control a couple of times by the navy.
I think the biggest risk is that the new (Clinton) administration sinks the whole LCS program. It probably will depend on who the new SecDef is in 2017, Ash Carter we know is not a fan but even he is advocating 40 LCS/FF so that would keep ASB going until at least about 2025 I would think.
