One big difference between MND and WOR is transparency. Go back 12 months and MND flagged falling revenues etc. The HY in Feb showed how deep the downturn had become and management gave clear guidance of further falls in rev, shrinking margins etc. Hence, today's result had been forecast fairly accurately by analysts.
WOR's statements are opaque and its very difficult to forecast with any certainty what the EPS will be for FY16. M.Star expects 65c EPS and zero div. This may be close and SP barely reacts when result comes out. Be interesting to see what detail is provided in the outlook for Fy17. I suspect WOR will stay true to form and keep any forecasts re future earnings vague.
