Aug 3 (Reuters) - Suncorp Group Ltd (SUN) :

• FY 2016 preliminary financial report appendix 4E
• FY revenue from ordinary activities down 7.39pct to $15.49 billion
• Says net profit for the period attributable to owners of co down 8.38 percent to A$1.04 billion
• Announces final dividend payment for the year ending 30 June 2016 of 38 cents per fully paid ordinary share
• Expects dividend payout ratio of 60% to 80% of cash earnings
• Targets maintaining a flat cost base in FY 2017 and FY 2018
• Targets improving underlying NPAT
• Targets delivering a sustainable roe of at least 10%
