Two months ago Minesite suggested that Australia’s uranium industry might be waking after a 30 year snooze. We were wrong. It’s not only wide awake it’s jumped out of bed, dashed down the hallway, and is halfway out the front door. Two recent events have overtaken Minesite’s alert of July 25 which came with a recommendation that investors dust off their files on Australian uranium stocks. First, the much-maligned Three Mines Policy, which has served as a political yoke on new uranium mines is dead. Second, China is no longer simply sending delegations to conferences in Australia.
