It get worse than that, The company abandoned the manufacturing equipment AND 2 very big 3d printers in the first factory that they occupied. The owner of the factory changed the locks and eventually took legal possession of the assets.
He since advertised the 2 big 3d printers on gumtree. The ad was marked sold in a couple of hours. The ad had them priced at $1,500 the pair.
So another person or company own all of this now, one can reasonably assume.

Yes, the "largest fused filament fabrication printer on the market" was designed and built in Melbourne. Did they design it, No, Jaon did.
Can they build one themselves? No. Having no equipment to manufacture it with makes it pretty hard.
Will it be made in Melbourne? Printers may be assembled in Melbourne but 100% of the components will come from south east asia or China.
I haven't seen any patent applications submitted, so I'm not sure what they have apart from printing AFL players at $500+ dollars a pop.
Ohh yeah, they do have the Jason mess to deal with.
