The current package is altogether different and offers incredible scope and flexibility but I love the idea that ProTAscript is used to write formulas, custom indicators, trading systems and smartlist critera. Backtesting is available and can be applied to all stock, a single stock or your own smartlist of stocks.
For medium and long term traders data from Yahoo is updated automatically your own data can be used as an alternative. ASX data including fundamentals are available.
The author responds to emails and responds to suggestions. If you are a mac devotee you will not be disappointed.

I have now been using ProTA4 since February. Is there a user's forum or support group. I wish to learn more about smartlist criteria and general formulae development? Thank you for your review. I am also very happy with it although I am under utilising its potential. I agree - support for this program is exceptional.
