Well lets hope that is the case because although I have a sceptical nature I would prefer good solid Australian companies to do well and RIC imo is just that. I notice the Food staples sector and the Discretionary sector of which RIC falls into were both down yesterday. Funny that RIC lies in the Discretionary sector, I would have thought it was in the staples sector but I guess cattle and prawn growers have the choice.

China shuts out Aussie food, dairy.

China has cracked down on imported food and consumer goods at airports and free-trade zones and has pulled products from Australian dairy producer Murray Goulburn from China's biggest e-commerce site.
The drastic moves follow changes to China's cross border e-commerce law on April 8 and forms part of a pledge by Beijing to protect domestic retailers by imposing higher taxes on imports.

I thought we had free trade agreements with China?
Lets hope this amounts to just political grandstanding.
Here we are with no political spine to do something similar and perhaps protect our steel industry.
